Electromechanical solution
By providing a complete, integrated 3D
mechanical and electrical solution, Zuken has simplified the design of 3D
electrical systems and eliminated the time consuming and costly need for
shifting multiple design data between 3D mechanical and 2D PCB worlds.
Zuken's Electromechanical Solution not only overcomes traditional problems,
but equips designers with tools to explore new approaches in creating
smaller, lighter, 'function- shaped' products or assemblies. The solutions
combine to provide a clear design process for the correct-first-time
electrical design of MIDs, Flexible circuits and tight-enclosure PCBs, with
complex routing delivered quickly and accurately with Zuken's P.R.Editor.
The co-design environment is based on a single design and analysis database
for both mechanical and electrical rules with guaranteed connectivity and
design rule compliance. Electromechanical Solutions integrate with existing
MCAD and CAE packages, helping you get the most out of your installed
investments by simplifying data transfers, and extending their function with
true 3D analysis of substrate, components and obstacles.
• EM Designer
EM Designer facilitates the creation of 3D electronic devices, such as
Molded Interconnects (MIDs) and Flex-PCBs, by providing an electrical design
environment within a 3D mechanical framework. EM Designer has the dual
characteristics of a 3D mechanical system and an electronic layout
application.
• EM Checker
Integrated with PCB design EM Checker, a subset of EM Designer, provides an
optimized environment for the verification of a PCB layout in its 3D
environment. Visualization, measurement and design rule checking
capabilities allow the electrical design to be checked against the system
requirements, and any component placement changes made within EM Checker are
automatically back annotated into the PCB design. The tool is fully
integrated with the PCB design flow, and loads 3D information generated by
mechanical CAD systems via the STEP AP203 format.
